In this series, we follow a young Egyptian boy named Akilo, and his journey through the chaotic WWII era. Tragedy strikes, in many forms, and our hero hero must learn to grown up much sooner than anyone would recommend. Germany and Italy are in full force, and are hell bent on opposing their will on any country that stands in their way. Italy--lead by the fascist prime minister Mussolini--aims his sights at Egypt. Already under British rule, the Egyptians are stuck between a rock and a hard place. Will the once heralded Egyptian nation ever be free? What interesting things are there to be discovered in the mysterious and historic lands, that is Egypt? You'll have to read to found out.
