While only 17 at the time, I knew that there was much more to the world than that which I had been brought up in. As a practicing Mormon, I felt trapped, judged, and out of place. Thus, I embarked on a journey to find joy and happiness away from religion. I became a "none." A "none" is someone who does not claim to be a part of organized religion and is happier for his or her decision. In this book, I dive into my experiences in walking away from a religious fold. By doing so, I hope that you can see you are not alone and there are many who have paved the way before you. In each chapter, I share what I learned and give advice and tips for how you can find joy and happiness by simply taking that first step. Join me in my journey and become a member of one of the fastest-growing groups in the United States: Become a None.
