Two contentious African boys from the opposite side of the tracks become friends, discover MMA, and have dreams of fighting in America when they grow up. Then, horrifically, things fall apart after a game goes terribly wrong, changing their lives forever. Their decades-spanning friendship is put to the test when one exits juvenile detention to discover his friend is a local Mixed Martial Arts star. Does becoming who you were meant to be mean losing those closest to you? The friendship begins to deteriorate, and years later all hell breaks loose when the boys meet on one of the biggest stages on earth. They couldn’t have dreamed this up. The highs and lows that the sport will take them on prove to be just as shocking as the incident that put one of them away. In the end, they’d go back to the beginning, to Africa.
